A Man of His Word - Typography Portrait of Morgan Freeman

"Anyways for those who are interested: time spent: 150+ hours (I lost track after a while)
Yes every bit of this says something in text... from his hairs all the way to his pupils!
I was advised in not taking the easy way out by using I's and )'s for hair, so every hair is his name.

His portrait consists of
1. his name Morgan Porterfield Freeman Jr.
2. Movies/Tv shows he's in
3. some names of the people he's played in those films
4. Just about every quote I could find for those movies
5. and a few awards he has won for being so great!"

Make sure to take the time and view this masterpiece and and labor of love at full resolution. This is beyond brilliant. Stunningly deceptive and wonderful.

Writer's Block - a 3D poem

"This concrete poem was created for my Writer's Craft summative assignment. I was working on a "square" concrete poem (which, well, was about being "square"), but I couldn't come up with what to write halfway through. So, the square went 3D, and this was born."

Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

Typography that Talks Back

"These are a couple of fun paper projects that I’ve been working on, “Explode” and “Erode,” I tried to use the possible dimension of paper to simulate action with typography. I custom made the typeface and used only Fabriano Tiziano 40% acid free pastel paper and white map tacks and of course Mr. Handy Exacto."

Beautiful Hand Drawn Typography

"Beautiful and creative typography can come in a variety of different forms. Hand drawn typography can be an excellent source of inspiration for graphic designers and typography lovers. In this post we will feature 40 creations that use hand drawn type. Some have been created completely by hand. Others have been sketched and scanned into Photoshop or Illustrator. Another option is to use fonts that create a hand drawn effect."

Wonderful. Lovely. Delicious. I heart Typography. Totally.
